HSBB: Battiste’s Jumper Lifts JPII Boys Past HHCA

John Paul II’s boys rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to edge visiting Hilton Head Christian Academy 37-36 on Friday. 

Rashad Battiste hit a game-winning jumper to lift the Golden Warriors. Sam Summa had 15 points and seven rebounds and Battiste added 12 points and eight boards to lead JPII. 

JPII (13-14, 5-5) will host the region tournament next week and face top-seeded Hilton Head Prep in the first round Monday. HHCA (7-16, 5-5) will be the No. 3 seed and face No. 2 Bethesda Academy on Monday.
