May River’s girls couldn’t recover from a slow start in a 55-35 loss to Richmond Hill in the finals of the Memorial Health Holiday Classic on Saturday.
Chynna Sneed scored 11 points and Emma Peluso added 10 for the Sharks, who were within 10-6 after one quarter before the Wildcats opened up a 30-8 halftime advantage.
May River (7-4) returns to action Jan. 4 with a region game at home against Lake Marion.
