John Paul II’s girls couldn’t hold on in the fourth quarter Saturday, falling 42-35 to Pinewood Christian in the finals of the Kevin Brophy Invitational.
The Golden Warriors led 23-13 at halftime and 29-25 after three quarters but couldn’t hang on.
Tkai DeVore led JPII with 14 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Taylor Michael scored eight points, and Abby Quinty added six.
DeVore and Quinty were named to the all-tournament team.
JPII (9-4) is off until traveling to Northside Christian on Jan. 4.
