May River’s girls played dominant defense in a 43-22 home win over Hilton Head High on Friday.
Chynna Sneed scored nine points and Jordan Bigham and Gracyn Drury added six apiece for the Sharks, who held the Seahawks to eight points or fewer in each quarter.
Trinity Feltner scored nine points and Miley Ray added five for the Seahawks, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
May River (5-3) plays in the Savannah Holiday Classic next weekend. HHIHS (4-4) hosts Battery Creek on Tuesday.
