Bluffton’s boys overcame an early deficit and withstood a late charge for a 50-46 road win over rival May River on Friday.
The Sharks raced out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter before going cold for the next two periods, as the Bobcats outscored them 29-12 in the second and third quarters to take control. Bluffton then held off a late rally.
Donovan Raines led Bluffton with 17 points, Tyler Rice added 12, and Ramell Rivers had 10.
Deshawn Martin led May River with 18 points.
Bluffton (3-1) travels to Battery Creek on Tuesday. May River (2-1) plays at Savannah High on Saturday.
