May River’s girls held off rival Bluffton for a 35-31 home win Friday.
Emma Peluso scored nine points and Jordan Bigham added eight to lead May River. Emily Meiss scored all five of her points in the decisive third quarter, in which the Sharks outscored the Bobcats 15-6 to open up a double-digit lead.
Tatyana Aiken scored 12 points, and Amber Massimo and Samari Mitchell added nine apiece for the Bobcats.
May River (3-2) has won three straight heading into a road trip to Savannah High on Saturday. Bluffton (2-2) travels to Battery Creek on Tuesday.
