HSBB: May River Girls Race Past Seahawks

May River’s girls raced to a big early lead en route to a 50-29 road win over Hilton Head High on Friday.

The Sharks jumped out to a 13-3 lead after one quarter and led 30-15 at halftime, and the Seahawks were never able to close the gap.

Chynna Sneed and Colleton Graves each scored 12 points to lead the Sharks, while Jordan Bigham and 10, and Gracyn Drury had nine.

Trinity Feltner scored 12 points to lead the Seahawks. Miley Ray was in early foul trouble and was limited to four points, all in the first half.

May River (2-2) host rival Bluffton on Dec. 7. Hilton Head (1-1) travels to South Effingham (Ga.) on Saturday.
