Hilton Head High couldn’t get its offense going in a 39-6 road loss at New Hampstead on Friday.
The Seahawks opened the scoring with a field goal, but the Phoenix answered with a long touchdown run to take the lead. It was 12-6 midway through the second quarter before New Hampstead’s Dontre Wallace took over, scoring four rushing touchdowns to help the Phoenix pull away.
The Seahawks (4-2) are off next week before opening region play at home against Colleton County on Oct. 12.
