HSFB: RBC Heritage Player of the Week Nominees, Week 4

As you can imagine, it has been a little hectic trying to track down stats (not to mention a moment of sanity to gather them) with Hurricane Florence consuming our thoughts and coaches scattered to the winds (no pun intended).

But with no games on the schedule for tonight, we’ve finally pulled together this week’s nominees for the RBC Heritage Player of the Week, which will give you something to do while you wait for the hurricane parties to begin in earnest and also give you a tiny taste in a week without high school football.

Fan voting will close at 3 p.m. Saturday. Here are the nominees:

• JPII RB Zach Doe: 225 rushing yards, 4 TDs on 27 carries; 3 receptions for 17 yards in 35-20 win over Carolina Academy

• BA RB De’Shaun Epps: 351 yards and 6 TDs on 19 carries in 68-28 win over Richard Winn Academy

• MRHS DL Roderick Grant: 11 tackles, 2 TFL, sack, forced fumble; 40 rushing yards on 6 carries in 55-11 win over Hilton Head High

• HHCA RB Daniel Harrington: 4 receptions for 91 yards, 2 TDs; rushing TD; 8 tackles, 2 PBU, INT in 33-14 win over Bethesda Academy

• BLHS K Evan Hayes: 3-3 FG, including game-winning 29-yard FG as time expired in 16-14 win over Hanahan

• MRHS RB Brandon Morales: 222 rushing yards, 4 TDs on 30 carries in 55-11 win over Hilton Head High

• WB RB Irvin Mulligan: 126 yards, 3 TDs on nine carries in 37-26 win over Ridgeland-Hardeeville

• THA RB JR Patterson: 135 yards, 2 TDs on seven carries; 2 receptions for 20 yards, TD in 62-6 win over Hilton Head Prep

• THA RB/DB Trey Pusha: 96 yards, TD on 6 carries; 10 tackles, 2 TFL in 62-6 win over Hilton Head Prep

• WB S Marion Smalls: 7 tackles, 3 INTs, 2 PBUs in 37-26 win over Ridgeland-Hardeeville
