Hilton Head Prep’s second-half rally came up short in a 21-20 loss at Colleton Prep on Friday.
Stone McDonald passed for 191 yards and a touchdown and added a rushing score, and Hunter Hopman caught 11 passes for 99 yards and a score for the Dolphins.
Trevor Weldon booted field goals of 26 and 31 yards for Hilton Head Prep, which led 10-0 in the first quarter before the War Hawks reeled off 21 straight points for a 21-10 halftime lead.
Carson King had eight catches for 69 yards, and Tommy Stauffer added two receptions for 40 yards for HHP.
The Dolphins (1-1) have the week off before traveling to Thomas Heyward on Sept. 7.
