Youth Baseball: Hilton Head AA All-Stars Are State Champs

The Hilton Head AA Machine Pitch All-Stars are headed to the Dixie World Series.

Hilton Head blew out Blythewood twice in the state championship series Tuesday in Clemson, winning 12-2 and 15-3 to claim the Dixie Youth Baseball AA Machine Pitch State Championship.

The team of 7- and 8-year-old all-stars advances to the Dixie World Series beginning July 28 in Lumberton, N.C. Hilton Head will open pool play against the Alabama state champion at 9 a.m. on July 28 and face the Georgia state champ at noon the same day. The top two teams from each pool will advance to bracket play starting July 29.

Hilton Head went 7-1 in the state tournament, including four straight wins following their first loss Monday afternoon. They outscored opponents 72-28 in the tournament.
