The PGA Tour released a “significantly revamped” schedule for the 2018-19 season Tuesday morning, but the RBC Heritage presented by Boeing will remain in its familiar spot the week after the Masters.
Some of the biggest changes to the schedule include reducing the FedExCup playoffs from four events to three; the addition of two events — the Rocket Mortgage Classic from June 24-30 in Detroit, and the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities from July 1-7; and the move of two high-profile events with the Players Championship shifting from May to March 11-17 and the PGA Championship moving from August to May 13-19.
The RBC Heritage avoided the shake-up, retaining its preferred spot on the schedule the week after the Masters. The 51st Heritage will be played April 15-21 at Harbour Town Golf Links.
