Hilton Head and Bluffton American remained undefeated with wins in the Dixie Youth Baseball Machine Pitch (7-8) District 8 Tournament on Friday at Burton Wells Sports Complex in Beaufort.
Hilton Head blasted Colleton County 11-1, and Bluffton American turned a pair of double plays in an 8-2 win over Beaufort to advance in the winner’s bracket. The two undefeated teams will face off at noon Saturday.
Beaufort will face Colleton County in an elimination game at 10 a.m. Saturday. Hampton held on for an 11-9 win over Bluffton National to advance to face Ridgeland in an elimination game at 10 a.m.
The Beaufort-Colleton winner will face the Hilton Head-Bluffton American loser in an elimination game at 6 p.m., while the Hampton-Ridgeland winner will face the Hilton Head-Bluffton American winner at 6 p.m.
