John Paul II’s boys played to a 3-3 draw in a non-region game against St. Andrew’s on Wednesday.
Sebastian Laverde scored two first-half goals for the Golden Warriors as the teams went to halftime tied at 2. Elijah Moreno gave JPII the lead in the second half, but the Lions found the equalizer with eight minutes remaining and it remained deadlocked.
Nyleem Wright made 12 saves in goal for the Golden Warriors.
JPII (6-6-1) hosts Beaufort Academy for a region matchup at 4 p.m. Friday.
