HS Baseball: Kender Helps JPII Hand Dorchester First Loss

Thomas Kender tossed a three-hit shutout to lead John Paul II to a 5-0 win over previously-undefeated Dorchester Academy on Friday.

Kender needed only 73 pitches to complete the gem on the heels of Ray Johnson tossing the first no-hitter in program history a day earlier.

Josh Horton had three hits and two RBIs to pace the offense, while Jack Jolley and Kender added two hits apiece.

JPII (10-7) travels to Memorial Day at 6 p.m. Monday.
