Beaufort County teams tipped off the AAU basketball season with strong showings at the USBA Spring Classic last weekend in North Charleston.
The Beaufort Hustle won the ninth-grade boys division, going 4-0 on the weekend and beating the rival Bluffton Bulls 50-40 in the championship game.
The Hustle’s seventh-grade boys lost 73-22 to Savannah Unified in championship game. The Bulls reached the finals in the fifth-grade division and lost 59-55 to CAVS in the championship game.
