HS Softball: Battery Creek’s Ortiz Tosses Perfect Game Vs. Warriors

Battery Creek’s Alexis Ortiz struck out 13 in a five-inning perfect game as the visiting Dolphins beat Whale Branch 12-0 on Tuesday.

Ortiz needed only 56 pitches to sit down all 15 batters she faced in the gem.

Kelsey Hill hit a three-run homer and Michaux Gee was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs to lead the Dolphins at the plate.

Battery Creek (14-3) plays in the Palmetto Invitational this weekend, facing Stratford, River Bluff, and Cane Bay on Friday.
