Beaufort High softball couldn’t hold onto a late lead Thursday, falling 10-5 to visiting Berkeley.
The Eagles scored four runs in the first and led 5-3 before the Stags erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning.
Madison Sanchez was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Emily Cook had two hits, and Lillian Sumner was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Eagles.
Beaufort (4-7, 3-5) travels to Bluffton for a non-region game at 7 p.m. Monday.
