Hilton Head High girls’ lacrosse overcame a slow start to rally for a 17-10 win at Academic Magnet on Friday.
The Seahawks fell behind early but rallied to tie it at 5 with 13:13 left in the first half and made a series of defensive adjustments that kept the Raptors in check the rest of the match.
Lara Martel had a big game for Hilton Head with five goals on five shots, two assists, and four ground balls, while Anne Evans added four goals and four ground balls. Carley Wilson won seven draw controls to go along with a goal and two ground balls, and Katie Bennett won six draw controls to add to two goals and an assist.
Emma Grace Walters had three assists, Lily Joy Tothero scored a goal, and Lexie Locker had an assist. Goalie Marlee Brummer made four saves for the Seahawks.
Hilton Head (6-1) travels to Savannah Christian Prep at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
