HS Baseball: JPII Sweeps Pair From Cavaliers

John Paul II baseball rolled to two big wins over visiting St. John’s Christian on Saturday.

The Golden Warriors routed the Cavaliers 16-1 in game 1 and 17-2 in the nightcap.

Hayden Jennings led the way in the opener with four hits, and Mark Tigges had two doubles and a triple. Thomas Kender was the winning pitcher.

In the finale, Jennings had another big game with four hits and earned the win on the mound. Brad Tigges added two hits and scored three runs.

JPII (5-4) plays at Dorchester Academy at 6 p.m. Monday.
