Hilton Head High boys’ lacrosse wrapped up a successful weekend trip with an 11-7 win over Christ Church Episcopal School on Saturday.
Will Frith (6 goals, 2 assists) and Whit Molloy (4 goals) led the offense, while Chaz Renaud added a goal and Max Boyer had an assist.
Defensemen Colin Courtney (10 ground balls, 4 interceptions) and Chance Yurco (1 GB, 2 takeaways) helped lead the defense down low. Jordan Singleton (2 GBs, 2 TAs), Molloy (6 GBs, 2 TAs), and Nick Magnin (1GB, 1 TA) contributed to the defensive effort, and goalie Chris Valentino made 12 saves.
At the faceoff X, Frith (9-of-11) and Hake Patrick (7-of10) combined to go 16-for-21.
“We played a tough team today,” Seahawks coach Will Callegari said. “They are a very talented bunch and really tested us in the second half. It was a long weekend for our boys, but we went to Greenville with the goal of coming home 2-0, and they really rose to the challenge. It was a great weekend for us as a program.”
The Seahawks (6-1) play at Porter-Gaud at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
