Ximenez struck out four, walked one, and hit a batter but did not allow a hit. The Sharks gave her plenty of run support scoring a run in the first and three in the second before breaking it open with a seven-run third inning.
Leadoff hitter Kylee Gleason went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs, and Olivia Turpin was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Kayla Bradley was 2-for-2 with two doubles and an RBI.
The Sharks (1-0) host Byrnes at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Eagles (0-1) host Fort Dorchester on Tuesday.
