Eleven basketball players from five different area schools were selected to play in the SCISA North-South All-Star Games, which will be played Saturday at Wilson Hall in Sumter.
A trio of Beaufort Academy stars will tip things off in the Class 1A games, as Dawson Coleman will play for the South boys and Karolina Struharova and Amelia Huebel will play for the South girls.
Five area players will suit up for the South boys in the Class 2A game – Hilton Head Prep’s Haddith Stewart, Avern Montaque, and Tyrone Calloway, and John Paul II’s Rashad Battiste and Amere Cherry. John Paul II’s Tkai DeVore, Hilton Head Christian Academy’s Brielle McCarthy, and Thomas Heyward’s Ivy Bryan were picked for the Class 2A South girls team.
The Class 1A games begin at 11 a.m., followed by the Class 2A games at 12:30 p.m. and the Class 3A games at 2 p.m.
