HSBB: JPII Girls’ Turnaround Season Ends In 2nd Round

John Paul II’s girls lost 58-48 to Palmetto Christian in the second round of the SCISA Class 2A playoffs Monday in Sumter.

Tkai DeVore had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead the Golden Warriors, while Abby Quinty and Abigail Barker added 11 points apiece and Jasmine Hamilton scored eight.

“It’s been quite a ride and so fun to be apart of the JPII athletic program,” JPII coach Karen Floyd said. “Going 22-6 is something to be proud of, especially considering where we started. We are going to miss our seniors greatly. Their leadership on and off the court has meant everything to this team and to me.”
