Ridgeland-Hardeeville’s boys held on for a 64-59 win over visiting Bluffton on Thursday to clinch the Region 8-3A title.
The Jaguars led 30-29 at halftime and were up by two heading to the fourth quarter before keeping the Bobcats out of reach down the stretch.
Rashamel Butler posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, Devin Butler added 15 points and seven rebounds, and Diamonte Robinson scored 12 points to lead the Jaguars. Jermaine Patterson scored 21 points to pace the Bobcats.
The Jaguars (20-1, 7-1) will open the Class 3A playoffs at home Tuesday. The Bobcats (14-8, 5-3) fall to the No. 3 seed and will open the postseason on the road.
