HSBB: Butler’s Big Night Helps Jaguar Boys Survive Sharks’ Challenge

Rashamel Butler put up a huge stat line as top-ranked Ridgeland-Hardeeville held off a strong challenge from May River for a 61-52 road win Friday.

Butler collected 37 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals to help the Jaguars stay undefeated. Dequandre Hamilton added five points and 10 rebounds, and Myles Pinckney had four points and nine boards.

The Jaguars led by one at halftime but outscored the Sharks 22-8 in the third quarter to pull away. The Sharks pulled within six with 2:26 left but couldn’t close the gap any further.

Ryan Livingston scored 19 points to lead the Sharks.

The Jaguars (17-0, 5-0) hosts Estill on Saturday. May River travels to Battery Creek next Friday.
