Former Hilton Head Christian Academy star Macee Tamminen was named the Big South Conference Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Tamminen, a 5-8 guard at Presbyterian College, scored a career-high 15 points in a 76-75 overtime win over visiting Furman on Saturday. She came off the bench to hit five 3-pointers, including two in the fourth quarter that helped the Blue Hose erase a double-digit deficit and force overtime.
