HSBB: Fast Start Propels HHIHS Boys Past Whale Branch

Hilton Head High’s boys basketball team built a big early lead and cruised to a 51-24 win over visiting Whale Branch on Tuesday.

The Seahawks led 23-6 at the half and opened up the lead to 33 by the end of the third quarter.

Chris Washington scored 17 points, Trevor Wright added 12, and Lance Jackson had 10 to lead Hilton Head High. JaQuan Watson led Whale Branch with five points.

The Seahawks (3-2) host Bluffton on Friday, while the Warriors (3-3) host Battery Creek on Saturday.
