The May River wrestling team notched two dominant wins Wednesday, beating Whale Branch 72-7 and blanking rival Bluffton 84-0.
The Sharks got pins from Brinson Frank (152), Ryan Hummel (170), and Ivan Ramirez (145) and won nine weight classes by forfeit against the Warriors. Whale Branch got wins from Malik Moultrie (106) and Jamel Moultrie (160).
Whale Branch claimed a 33-30 win over Bluffton in the closest match of the night, which came down to the final weight class. The Warriors won all four contested matches, capped by Estaban Sanchez’s 7-6 decision at 152 in the last match of the dual.
May River won every weight class by pin or forfeit to shut out the Bobcats.
