Brandon Wilson’s tip-in as time expired lifted Battery Creek’s boys basketball team to a 44-42 win over Hilton Head High on Tuesday.
Hilton Head High’s Chris Washington tied it at 42 with a put-back with 30 seconds left, but Wilson tipped in Trey Chancey’s missed jumper at the buzzer to give the Dolphins their first win of the season.
JaQuan Burton posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, Wilson collected nine points and nine boards, and Denarol Brown added eight points to lead the Dolphins.
Washington scored 11 points and Tyreke Young added nine for the Seahawks.
Battery Creek (1-4) hosts Beaufort High on Friday, while Hilton Head High (1-2) hosts May River on Friday.
