Hilton Head Christian’s girls basketball team overcame a sluggish start and cruised to a 62-20 win over Coastal Homeschool on Saturday.
The Eagles fell behind 6-0 but held the Hurricanes scoreless for the entire second quarter and ended the half on a 23-0 run.
Brielle McCarthy scored 29 points, including 22 in the second half, to lead the Eagles. Jossie Frazier and Jasmine Campbell added 14 points apiece.
The Eagles (3-0) are on the road Tuesday at Memorial Day.
