The Hilton Head High girls basketball team opened the season with a 48-22 win at Whale Branch on Tuesday.
Kristen Fielding scored 14 points and Miley Ray added 11 for the Seahawks, who led 15-14 at halftime before outscoring the Warriors 15-2 it the third quarter.
Both teams are back in action Friday, as HHIHS (1-0) plays at Bluffton and Whale Branch (0-1) hosts Beaufort High.
