HS VB: JP2 Overcomes Injuries To Outlast HHP

The John Paul II volleyball team overcame a pair of key injuries to claim a five-set win over Hilton Head Prep on Thursday.

The Golden Warriors won 3-2 (25-17, 19-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-5) despite losing their top two kills leaders – Marissa Majorkiewicz and Abigail Barker – during the match. Majorkiewicz was injured early in the second set and Barker left in the fourth set, but Jasmine Hamilton, Mary Foster Gaillard and Darby O’Donnell powered the short-handed Golden Warriors in the fifth set.
