The Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball team split a tri-match Tuesday, losing 2-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-23) to Savannah Country Day before sweeping May River 2-0.
Eagles star Sydney DeSimone returned to the lineup after missing nine games with an ankle injury and recorded 15 kills, 13 digs, and one block against SCD and nine kills and eight digs against May River.
Brielle McCarthy had 20 assists and six digs against SCD, while Lauryn Qualls added four aces, three kills, and one block, and Olivia Reichenbach collected three kills, one ace, and two blocks.
Against May River, Qualls had six aces, five kills, and eight digs, and Reichenbach added eight kills. Ady O’Grady had eight digs and served 11 straight points.
The Eagles play at Beaufort Academy at 6 p.m. Thursday.
