The Beaufort Ospreys Post 9 American Legion baseball team rallied from a six-run deficit to win 11-9 in 11 innings at Goose Creek on Wednesday.
The Ospreys (9-3 overall, 9-1 League 1) trailed 7-1 after four innings before chipping away and tying the game at 9 in the eighth inning. Beaufort scored twice in the top of the 11th and held Goose Creek scoreless in the bottom of the frame to seal the win.
Ethan Graham went 4-for-6 with three RBIs, and Hartley Smith was 3-for-7 with two doubles to lead Beaufort’s offense. Brice Adkins and Patrick Talbert each added two hits, and Rome Wallace homered and drove in two runs.
The Ospreys host Goose Creek at 7 p.m. Thursday in their final regular-season game before the playoffs begin next week.
