Bluffton Teams Go Undefeated On First Night Of All-Star Tourneys

Bluffton teams went 6-0 on the first night of baseball and softball all-star district tournaments Friday.

The Bluffton Darlings (ages 7-8) softball team swept two games from Colleton County, winning 22-2 and 9-8 to advance to a best-of-3 series against a team to be determined for a spot in the state tournament.

The Bluffton Angels (ages 9-10) softball team also defeated Colleton County, 15-2, and can advance to state with another win in the best-of-3 series tonight in Walterboro.

In AA Machine Pitch (ages 7-8) action in Walterboro, Bluffton American beat Colleton County 13-1 and faces Beaufort at 6 p.m. tonight, and Bluffton National defeated Hampton 8-5 and takes on Hilton Head at 6 p.m. tonight.

In the Minors (ages 9-10) tournament at Crossings Park on Hilton Head Island, the Bluffton National team beat Hilton Head 16-1 and faces Bluffton American at 6 p.m. tonight.

The Bluffton Ozone team takes on Beaufort in the first round at 8 p.m. Monday at Crossings Park.
