HSFB 2022: Phoenix spoils Sharks’ opener, Perry’s big night

May River senior Darrion Perry had a monster night on the ground, rushing for well over 100 yards and three touchdowns, and blocked a pair of PATs, but Wofford commit Pauly Seeley tossed four touchdown passes to send the Sharks to a season-opening 47-27 loss to New Hampstead at Pooler Stadium.

Sophomore quarterback Tanner Macy also did damage on the ground for the Sharks before briefly leaving the game following one of several hard hits, but he returned after one series and led the Sharks’ final scoring drive.
