HS BSOC: Mighty Lions roll to region win over PCA

Holy Trinity boys soccer has taken its lumps against some tough competition early in the season, but the defending SCISA 1A champion Mighty Lions stayed perfect in region play with an 8-3 home win over Palmetto Christian on Tuesday.

The Mighty Lions pounced early to build a 6-0 lead before halftime before sending in the reserves to finish off the Eagles.

Ashton Stacks led the charge with four goals for Holy Trinity, while Clement Owen had a brace, and Michael Smith and Houston Wilson each scored a goal. Andrew Jennings made four saves while blanking PCA in the first half, and Wilson made four saves on seven shots on goal in the second half.

Holy Trinity (2-3, 2-0) travels to Charleston Collegiate on Thursday.
