May River girls basketball held on for a 34-33 win at Lucy Beckham on Tuesday, snapping a five-game losing streak.
The Sharks led by seven after one quarter and maintained that margin going into halftime before extending the lead to 27-17 going to the fourth. The Bengals clawed back to pull even in the final seconds, but Macey Dowe got to the line and hit the second of two foul shots to seal it.
Morgan Kronimus hit a trio of 3-pointers and finished with 11 points to lead the Sharks, while Morgan Scott added nine.
May River (7-13, 3-8) wraps up the regular season at home against Beaufort High on Thursday.
