HSBBB: Seahawks’ comeback falls short in Holiday Classic finale

Hilton Head High boys basketball battled hard Wednesday but came up short against Loganville (GA) in a 62-58 defeat to close out the Seahawk Holiday Classic.

Jocorey Walters impressed with five early points to keep the Seahawks level before the Red Devils took control in the second to go up 27-23 at the break. Josh Hennum nailed a pair of threes in the third to trim the deficit to 41-38, but Chris Dorbor and Sherman Johnson found their stroke late as the Red Devils held on to the win.

Hennum shined from beyond the arc with four-three pointers and 14 points, and Karyce Campbell scored 11 points. Walters and Alex Smith also chipped in seven points each.

Hilton Head High (7-5, 2-0) returns to action Tuesday in a home matchup with Richmond Hill.
