Hilton Head Prep’s girls turned in a stellar performance in their home opener Tuesday, downing The Habersham School 53-25.
The Dolphins pushed the tempo on offense from the jump, starting the game on a 23-2 run. Hilton Head Prep’s terrific defense allowed just seven points in the first two quarters to take a 36-7 halftime lead.
Freshman Courtney Campbell impressed in her home debut, leading all scorers with 19 points. Seniors Ella Clark and Abi Mendoza added six each while limiting Habersham’s top scorer Anna Thompson to 12 points.
Hilton Head Prep (1-1) visits Pinewood Prep on Friday.
