Two weeks to focus on Whale Branch seems to have been beneficial to Whale Branch.
After a two-week hiatus following their thrilling opening win over Calhoun County, the fourth-ranked team in Class 1A returned to action with a dominant 41-0 road rout of St. John’s on Friday to open Region 7-1A play.
Kai’Shawn Jenkins and Keith Chisolm hooked up for two touchdown passes, Jakhi Pusha threw a TD pass to Ray Pryor, and Darrell Cummings, Clifton Major, and Joseph Hicks all added rushing TDs as the Warriors rolled to a region road win.
Whale Branch (2-0, 1-0) returns home to face region rival Military Magnet on Friday.
