After a strong showing in a preseason tournament over the weekend, Hilton Head Prep volleyball opened the regular season with an impressive 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-18) home win over South Effingham on Tuesday.

The Dolphins kicked things off by winning the silver bracket at the Colleton County Invitational over the weekend, and they carried the positive momentum into an outstanding regular-season debut.
Ashley Wilmot led a solid Prep attack with 10 kills and picked up eight digs, while Haley Majors added seven kills for the Dolphins. Ella Clark dished out 15 assists, and Gabby Bettez added 11 assists to go with a team-high four aces. Haylee Hopman anchored the HHP defense with a team-high 12 digs.
HHP (1-0) is back in action Thursday, traveling to Savannah to face Veritas Academy.
