HS BSB: Horn, Sharks keep rolling with ninth straight win

Darin Horn turned in another dominant performance on the mound and May River baseball ran its winning streak to nine games with a 7-0 victory at Lakewood on Thursday. 

Horn struck out 13 and limited the Gators to three hits and one walk over six scoreless innings before Bennett Roemer pitched a perfect seventh with one strikeout to close it out for the Sharks.

Luke Holland led the way at the plate for May River, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Caleb Allinder added two hits and an RBI, and James Layman had two hits in the leadoff spot. Zack Morillo and Riley Stokes also had RBI singles for the Sharks.

May River (13-6) plays at Phillip Simmons on Tuesday.
