Hilton Head Prep girls soccer opened its SCISA 3A postseason run in dominant fashion Tuesday, blanking visiting Ben Lippen 10-0 thanks to hat tricks from Sadie Callen and Ansleigh Crenshaw to advance to the state semifinals.
It took about 25 minutes to break the ice, but the goals quickly came in bunches once the Dolphins warmed up. Crenshaw delivered a spectacular performance, racking up an assist and three goals, including a majestic 40-yard free kick she buried in the top-left corner.
Callen matched Crenshaw’s dynamite performance, adding a hat trick of her own highlighted by a sizzling strike from the edge of the box in the opening half.
Shania Diaz tallied a pair of goals including one from the penalty spot to go along with two assists. Bryn Miller and Ella Clark both added a goal and an assist, as Clark finished off the game with a successful penalty kick in the 78th minute.
Sami Heginbottom notched a clean sheet in net, and the defense of Ashlyn Parsick, Haley Majors, Bailey Sullivan, Haylee Hopman, Alexis Terry, Gabi Klempner, and Elise Sullivan played a standout game from start to finish.
Hilton Head Prep (16-2) travels to Hammond for a semifinal matchup Thursday.
