Dawson Peters finished off a phenomenal showing at the Sun Conference Championship on Tuesday, earning a third-place finish for himself and the USCB Sand Sharks at The Club at Savannah Quarters.
The senior and conference Golfer of the Year put together a stellar final round, shooting a spectacular 4-under 68 in his lowest total of the three-round event. Peters saved his best golf for last, going 5-under on the back nine while claiming his second eagle of the tournament on the 531-yard 17th to finish in sole possession of third place with a 3-under 213.

Jonas Demant finished tied for 14th, making three birdies in the final round for a 222, and Jacob Thomas carded a 3-over 75 to end his event in a tie for 18th.
Skyler Sicoli capped off his day with five birdies from holes 11-17 to come in 23rd, and Christoph Hagenauer displayed a consistent final-round effort, earning 15 pars on Tuesday en route to a 4-over 76 for a T28 finish.
Lucas Cena of Keiser University closed out his individual victory with an outstanding 8-under 208, but Coastal Georgia rallied past the Seahawks on the final day to snatch away the team title with a dramatic one-stroke victory, scoring an 8-under 856. The Sand Sharks took third overall with an 891, one shot better than fourth-place Southeastern.
USCB will now prepare for the NAIA National Championships beginning on May 18 in Silvis, Illinois.
