HS BSB: War Hawks hang onto early lead vs. JPII

Colleton Prep baseball scored seven runs over the first four innings, then held off John Paul II for a 9-5 road win in a region matchup Wednesday.

The War Hawks struck for three runs in the first inning and answered JPII’s two-run third with four in the fourth to break it open. The Golden Warriors chipped away with one run each in the fifth, sixth, and seventh, but CPA scored single tallies in the sixth and seventh to keep the rally at bay.
