Levi Dyer set up the game’s only goal in the second half, and Holy Trinity boys soccer earned a 1-0 victory over visiting Beaufort Academy on Tuesday — the Mighty Lions’ first win over the crosstown Eagles.
After a scoreless first half, Dyer delivered a cross to the net that banked off a Beaufort Academy defender for an own goal, giving the Mighty Lions the 1-0 lead. Holy Trinity’s defense shut down the Eagles the rest of the way to finish off the victory.
Holy Trinity (3-0, 2-0) travels to Palmetto Christian on Friday.
