May River boys lacrosse suffered its first loss of the young season Saturday, falling 14-8 at Lexington.
The Sharks got off to a sluggish start and trailed 8-2 at halftime before clawing back into the match. May River pulled within 10-8 midway through the fourth quarter, but the Wildcats mustered one more offensive surge to seal the win.
Hudson Kramer and Rob Gadomski each recorded a hat trick, while Ethan Sotiropoulos added two goals. Gadomski, Whitt Beebe, Mike Gonzales, and Andrew Dromsky each recorded an assist.
The Sharks (2-1) will look to get back on track when they travel to rival Bluffton for a Region 7-4A matchup at 7 p.m. Monday.
