Hilton Head Prep’s boys traveled to John Paul II on Wednesday and came away with a hard-fought 34-22 win over the Golden Warriors.
JJ Hayes posted another double double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks, and Kane Eanes added 13 points to continue his recent hot streak for the Dolphins, who limited the Golden Warriors to seven points in the second half.

With the score tied at 15 at halftime, the Dolphins locked down on defense after the break. JPII continued to assert its gameplan and slow down the pace, but HHP made it tough to get open shots. Meanwhile, Eanes continued his red-hot shooting with three 3-pointers, and Hayes turned in another strong performance on offense and on the boards.
Malone Kinard-Huisinger led JPII with six points and six rebounds, and Mark Knight also had six points and two steals.
HHP (16-4) travels to Pinewood Prep on Saturday to face Northwood Academy in the first round of SCISA 3A playoffs. JPII (10-6) will travel to Sumter on Saturday to face Carolina Academy to open the SCISA 2A playoffs.
